Carpentry/Construction Tech Instructor  – Boonslick Technical Education Center

Boonslick Technical Education Center is seeking a Carpentry/Construction Technology instructor for the 2025-26 school year who wishes to train high school students from Boonville R-I and sending schools for certification and career readiness in the construction industry. This full-time position is responsible for teaching all grade levels of students in Introduction and Advanced Carpentry. Interested applicants can apply at https://bpsk12.net. Qualifications:

  1. The applicant must submit a joint application verifying contracted employment from a Missouri educational institution; and a.) Verification of a bachelor’s degree or higher in an area appropriate for the subject area being taught and four thousand (4,000) hours of DESE-approved, related occupational experience obtained within the most recent ten (10) years, b.) Verification of an associate’s degree in an area appropriate for the subject area being taught and five thousand (5,000) hours of DESE-approved, related occupational experience obtained within the most recent ten (10) years, c.) Verification of six thousand (6,000) hours of DESE-approved, related occupational experience obtained within the most recent ten (10) years.
  1. Must possess, or have the ability and qualifications to obtain, and maintain the proper certifications for the area/content to which he or she has been assigned to teach. 
  2. Must possess, or have the ability and qualifications to obtain, and maintain the proper Missouri teaching certification for the area/content to which he or she has been assigned to teach.
  3. Complete original transcript of college hours must be placed on file in the superintendent’s office before the beginning of the school year for which the teacher has been hired.
  4. Any additional hours of credit earned while the teacher is under contract should also be filed in the same manner.
  5. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to collaborate with colleagues, analyze student data, and make necessary instructional interventions for student growth that are based on data and best practices in education.
  6. Pass all background checks and screenings.
